Forté Alumni Leadership Council
The Forté Alumni Leadership Council (ALC) is a select group of 25 MBA alumni leaders dedicated to furthering Forté’s mission of advancing women in business. The ALC serves Forté by leveraging the diverse profiles of its members and allowing members to contribute their unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives to support #MoreWomenLeading. These collaborative leadership positions present an opportunity for women to gain crucial experience while serving in a board-like environment.
ALC members are a tight-knit team of Forté ambassadors, fostering an engaged and active community of MBA women as they move from graduation to the highest ranks of leadership. In 2024, the ALC helped Forté execute the first-ever MBA Alumni Conference in Chicago, hosted a range of virtual alumni conversations and educational series targeting post-MBA career development, raised funds through the Class Giving Campaign, and piloted new early career programming aimed at pre-MBA professionals.
ALC COMMITTEES
The ALC comprises four working committees, each of which supports a strategic focus of Forté:
Corporate Development Committee
Committee members partner with Forté to create forward-thinking strategies around a successful alumni and company engagement model. As part of this growing body of work and opportunity, members also assist in the introductions to prospective companies.
Membership Committee
Committee members grow and foster ALC and alumni ambassador engagement and community. The committee does this by playing a key role in the recruitment and selection of new ALC members and by partnering with Forté to develop and execute relevant virtual series designed to connect alumni.
Philanthropy Committee
Committee members encourage a culture of philanthropy among Forté students and alumni to ensure Forté’s ability to continue its mission of More Women Leading into the future. Committee members lead Forté's annual Alumni Class Giving campaign, one of Forté’s key fundraising efforts.
Programs Committee
Committee members use their diverse backgrounds and expertise to support valuable Forté programming for student and alumni audiences. These programs, including the Alumni Conference, alumni regional events, MBALaunch, Women on Boards webinars and more, are central to Forte's mission of advancing women in business.
