While diversity focuses on representation, inclusion is about how well the contributions, presence, and perspectives of different groups of people are valued and integrated into an environment. In an inclusive culture, people experience a genuine sense of equality and fairness of opportunity. Today is an opportunity to examine our contributions as leaders, managers, and colleagues - are we embracing diverse perspectives and creating new spaces that encourage everyone to bring their authentic selves to classrooms and offices? Core aspects of leadership, such as setting direction and influencing others, are timeless, but there is a capability that is vital to innovation, collaboration, and positive business outcomes: Inclusive leadership. This session explores the six signature traits of inclusive leadership and leaves participants with actionable steps to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
